Zoo, Aquarium, general update...you know the usual!

On Monday of this week Cody and I took Carter to Denver. We got to go to the aguarium and see a lot of different kinds of fish, it was my favorite. I think it was Carter's favorite too because he loved to get out and see the fish up close (through the glass of course.) We also went to a Baseball game(but I forgot the camera....darn!) And the Zoo. Carter liked the zoo but got tired of the stroller really quickly. The Animals were a lot of fun to see, and the weather was really nice, not too hot, but it wasn't cold at all, and it was sunny, so we got plenty of vitamin D! :) All in all it was a great 3 days!

Carter showing me the fish swimming. We liked the Dory fish! :)
Carter looking over the glass at the turtle, it kinda looks like he's in there with them! :)

Carter's brothers......hee hee hee!
Carter, Daddy and the elephants.
Oh yeah, and by the by.........Due the first week of January.( If you are thinking to yourself --how rude we are good friends with them why didn't they tell us? well we didn't tell any one except family, and like 3 people ( ON ACCIDENT!) so please don't be mad, it's just not something that we had been telling yet.....Sorry!)

Eternal families, Baptisim and Blessings.

This will be a pictureless blog because all that I want to post about, I don't have pictures for. Darn.....

Well the month of May was an interesting month for the Plaisteds(Peterson side really...). May 4th my Grammy passed away. My mom's mom. She had been sick for the past 10+ years, and it wasn't exactly a surprise, but it was all at the same time, meaning we knew it wouln't be long, but we expected some warning like her being hospitalized or something. It was a regular Tuesday for her and my Grandpa, they went to Provo to run errands, and went to Chinese for dinner, when they got home my Grandpa noticed that she was breathing a little funny and figured she was tired so he helped her to the couch so she could rest, ran outside for just a minute, and came back and she had passed on. It was extremely hard to see my Grandpa so upset. She truly was the love of his lfe. For the past two or so years he had changed her diapers, forced her into a diet to controll her diabetes, and continually tried to help her realize where she was. After all that hard work he told the bishop just the night before Grammy died that he would look after her for as long as he could, she was his sweetheart and he wated to do it and no one else. You may be thinking "well he married her for better or worse" but it wasn't even a chore for him. He would have done it for the next 50 years just to have her with him! He was so broken hearted at the loss of his sweet wife that he could hardly look at her in the casket. He used to tell everyone that he wated to live to be 120 years old; not any more. I think he is anxious to be with his sweetheart again, but that is understandable, and thankfully POSSIBLE!!!

Well from that experience I realized what it meant to be a spouse. Love unconditionally, serve, and most importantly the importance of eternal marriages. I know that my family is an eternal family, we can be together forever and ever. This may be the best gift our Heavenly Father has given us (next to repentance and agency, but you get the idea...).Horray!

Also on a lighter note, my nephew Isaiah got baptized on the 23rd, and my neice Emily got blessed the next Sunday. It was a busy weekend we went to Green River Saturday morning had family pictures taken, went to a baptisim, ate dinner, drove home, woke up at about 6am, went to a blessing at 8am, and celebrated the birthdays of Cody, KD(my neice) and Mario(my bro in law). So May had a lot of travel and emotional up's and downs. But all in all we made it out alive and well.

So until next time! Don't hate me if it's more than a month! :)

Happy Birthday Carter! (like 17 days ago....)

Well this post is a little late, but we celebrated Carter's first birthday a few weeks ago, and it was AWESOME! We had so much fun! I can't tell if his favorite part we the cake, the pizza or the presents! I think that he knew that the day was all about him because he was eating it up! He loved everything! I wish he could turn 1 every year! The excitement was just all around him! I'm so greatful for my little blessing, and I'm so glad that he is such a happy little boy! Mostly I'm just glad that he came to our family! Cody and I couldn't have asked for a better kid, and I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world, he's mine, and that's how it'll stay! :) :)

(The pictures are in backwards order, but I think you will get the point! :))
This is his ride, and walk toy!

Opening presents! :)

After the cake...He would have kept going had I let him, but I didn't want him to have a tummy ache on his birthday! :) The cake was alreay 3/4 of the way gone....

Volleyball, Anniversary, wishin' for spring!

This is for everyone at volleyball giving me a hard time about not updating my blog! :)

So far not much has changed in our lives. Cody is still trucking away at school, and Carter and I still play all day long! We both have cabin fever really bad and can't wait to get outside!

Cody and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary this week. He is so wonderful! He sent me flowers! Yay!!! It seems so weird that we've been married two year! In a way it seems live we've been together forever, but at the same time it's flown by so fast! I love it! I can't believe how much my life has changed in 2 years! I feel so blessed to have my Wonderful little family, and can't wait for the years to come so I can see it grow! :)

Recently I have found out that I have 6 friends and a sister in law pregnant and many more people that I am aquainted with. It amazing how in only a year I have forgotten how miserable I was pregnant and now am totally baby hungry! I'm trying to convince Cody that we need to have another one by December so that the baby isn't a new born when he leaves for his rotations his 4th year. Wish me luck! :)

We are leaving this weekend to help my brother in law and his wife move to Washington, it's so sad to see them go, but I'm sure they will be happy there, and I am so glad that they have found somewhere to settle and be happy. After we help them move we are off to Ogden to see Cody's mom for spring break! We haven't seen her since Christmas and we are so happy to be going! Carter loves his Grandma! :)
Well I think thats about all for us! Like I said, nothing new! But boring is how I like it! Simple and happy, that's how it is for us Plaisted's! :) As Cody would say, "Oly the best for the Plaisted's" and I agree! :) Love you all and I hope you have a wonderful spring break!

Welcome Two Thousand Nine!!

Well 2009 has come. Horray! I love starting out a new year, it means new resolutions. This year Cody and I decided to get ready! Ready for what we don't exactly know, but ready we'll be! Our resolutions are: LOSE WEIGHT!, Read Scriptures nightly, Family Home Evening, Start our food storage, and my personal resolution is to have dinner as a family every night.

My dad has so graciously given my family incentive for losing weight, the Peterson Family Biggest Loser Contest! $5 a pound! I'm already at $25 bucks! But on top of that incentive, Cody and I are going to match what my dad gives us and go on another honeymoon (babyless :)) Find a babysitter for one night and go to the little bed and breakfast that we spent our first night as a married couple (where the magic happened....) and also do a session at the Manti Temple. If that doesn't knock 20 pounds off me, I don't think anything will!

Well Happy New Year!

Christmas!

Well Christmas is very quickly approaching. This year for some odd reason (cough cough CARTER cough cough) Cody and I are really looking forward Christmas day. We are staying home this year so that we can enjoy Carter's first Christmas without the stress and worry of traveling in Wyoming's unpredictable weather. Cody's mom is coming from Ogden, and Dan and Laura and their kids will be here too.
Also this year we have quite a bit less money than we have had in the past years. Me not working and the addition of another person probably has had something to do with that. So for us this year is not about the gifts we want, or the food we will be eating, or how elaborately our home is decorated; it is about the birth of our Savior. With Carter in our lives we have realised what a miracle Christ is. We have the opportunity to be an eternal family because of him and his sacrifice. We are SO very blessed! We are grateful for Christ and miracle of his birth, and the meaning of Christmas. We hope you all have the merriest of Christmas'!
